George Romney On Tax Returns “One year could be a fluke perhaps done for show”

While Harry Reid is taking a lot of heat for his statements regarding Mitt Romney’s father, George Romney, pointing out the differences between the two seems to be fair game. Mitt Romney continues to push back and engage Mr Reid, with lingering questions from the press it seems as though he has no choice.

Joe Biden has also made a similar statement, hitting Mr. Romney for the stark departure from his father’s policies.

“When his father, George Romney, was a candidate was for President in 1968, he released 12 years of tax returns because, as he said, ‘One year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show.’
“His son has released one year of his tax returns.
“Making a lie of the old adage: Like father, like son.
“Mitt Romney wants you to show your papers, but he won’t show us his.

“So many questions…”

Surrogates on both sides of the aisle have expressed concern over attacks on Mitt Romney’s father. Recently, Jon Stewart from The Daily Show said “I can’t believe you just went dead dad shame on Mitt Romney.”

“You know what Harry Reid, if you’re not going to fact check anything that comes out of your mouth, I will,” Stewart declared.

Pulling out an Ouija board, Stewart proceeded to channel the ghost of Romney’s father, to ask whether he was proud of his son.
