Limbaugh On Ryan: We Now Have Somebody On The Ticket Who’s Us

Written by Eric on August 14, 2012.

Along with Fox News, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and many other jubilant Conservative Republicans, Rush Limbaugh is also celebrating the VP choice by Mitt Romney. Reminiscent of his excitement over the 2008 choice of then GOP nominee Sarah Palin, Mr. Limbaugh touted Ryan’s fiscal experience and ability to further scrutinize President Obama.

“We now have somebody on the ticket who’s us,” Limbaugh said of the newly named Republican vice-presidential nomineee. “[Somebody] who can explain all of this, who believes all of this in his heart, in his soul, and he can do it with optimism and a smile on his face.”

“When the vice president starts dismantling the president of the United States and his policies and his ideas and what they have wrought, that’s something they’re going to have to react to,” Limbaugh said. “They’re going to have to come back at some point with some substance and when they do that, they don’t have substance on their side. When they do that, that brings Obama’s record to the fore.” Politico 8/13/2012

Meanwhile, Democrats continue to attack Ryan on his record of dismantling Medicare and Social Security and turning them into a voucher system. Republican strategist David Frum said adding Ryan to the Romney ticket did Obama a huge favor, citing the fact that Democrats have a lot of ammunition against him on other issues that will take focus off of the economy, Romney’s number one issue.
