Obama Offers To Stop Demanding Tax Returns If Mitt Releases 5 Years Worth

NO. Romney is refusing to deal with President Obama’s proposal to release just the last  5 years of tax returns, in a defiant statement.

“It is clear that President Obama wants nothing more than to talk about Governor Romney’s tax returns instead of the issues that matter to voters, like putting Americans back to work, fixing the economy and reining in spending,” Romney campaign manager Matt Rhoades wrote in a response to Obama counterpart Jim Messina. Mr. Romney is having a difficult time changing the narrative of this race, adding Paul Ryan to the ticket sparked what appears to be a short lived boost which has quickly fizzled out. While trying to attack Obama on Medicare, he was still unable to get away from questions on his tax returns. Claiming Thursday that he paid at least 13 percent of his income in taxes each year during the past decade, Democrats are not showing any signs of letting up.
