Today Rahm Emanuel resigned his position as Obama’s Chief of Fucking Staff to run for Mayor of Chicago. His successor, Peter Rouse is said to be low key and much less emotional, a low-key troubleshooter and consummate backroom player whose work is seldom publicized, is being elevated to a post in which he may lose some of his cherished anonymity.
Perhaps he’ll use less controversial words like heck, golly gee or gosh-darnit when addressing staff members in the showers. In any case the White House is losing a real asshole, my kind of asshole, who is capable of shaking things up when need be.
So on the behalf of liberals everywhere who’ve enjoyed watching you kick some ass, good fucking luck!
According to HuffPo CNN’s Rick Sanchez made controversial comments on a Sirius radio show Thursday, calling Jon Stewart a “bigot” and saying that CNN and the other networks are all run by Jewish people.
Discussing Stewart with radio host Pete Dominick, Sanchez said that the “Daily Show” host has a limited worldview, and called him a “bigot.”
You may also remember last week Stephen Colbert invited Rick Sanchez to attend the KeepFearAlive rally to get tazed. Rick did not respond, at least that I have noticed and it’s pretty obvious that he is a little miffed at being the butt of Stewart and Colbert’s jokes. He can learn something from Jon Stewart about how to take criticism, instead of nutting up and calling people names in spite, Stewart makes light of it, even when he’s the target.
Lighten up, Rick.
Update: Today Rick Sanchez was fired from CNN, see more at TPM
After the earthquake in Haiti nearly a year ago, the U.S. government spoke of its desire to give financial aid to the Haitian people.
This help was going to come in the form of $1.15 billion. Have our brothers and sisters in Haiti received this promised aid? No.
Not one penny of the promised aid has reached Haiti. Meanwhile, Haitians continue to barely survive in shacks and tents, wondering when the promised aid will come. So what is holding up this authorized bill from going through the Senate?
Sen. Tom Coburn, a Republican from Oklahoma, has held up the bill. According to his spokesperson: “He is holding up the bill because it includes an unnecessary senior Haiti coordinator when we already have one …”
Other things Coburn has cockblocked:
Alan Grayson, one of the most vocal and colorful speakers against the GOP the Dems have had over the last couple of years normally has me cheering for him, but sadly not after this ad. He totally played this out of context to falsely attack his opponent.
Not cool, I don’t care what side you are on and frankly, it’s the sort of thing we would expect to see from FOX News.
