There's a lot to take in there, but beyond the wholesale job and position assignments to people without the experience, are incompetent, and in some cases ideologically against the department they're supposed to be running, a lot of those things listed could just as easily happen under any administration.

And it does happen under all administrations but at least they try to fill those positions with people who have experience in the respective department they're being assigned to. Trump is just stuffing his donors into all the positions blindly.

Pretty impressive. The site, not Trump’s corruption.

Most administrations, even Republican ones, do not set out meaning to weaken all the agencies by removing regulations wholesale, installing lobbyists as the regulators, getting Congress to pass enabling legislation and tacking in fine print about how "no similar rule" can be passed in future when a rule is withdrawn. And none has had anywhere near the number of "acting" appointments Trump has made to subvert the power of the US Senate to confirm agency heads.

When all is said and done I think there will have to be some soul searching that needs to take place before they start rebuilding.

Yeah, it’s like a text version of one of those Ken Bern’s “exhaustive” documentary series.

I’d like to see the same examination of every presidency going forward. Maybe provide a comparative point system.

Not if they don't think that they have done anything wrong, but believe that they should be applauded and encouraged and that such conduct is their right and entitlement.

What bothers me is that the cruelty (children in cages, the sneering at John McCain, for example), the corrosive contempt for women, people of colour, the poor, the pathological racism, the vicious and vitriolic misogyny, the sheer cynicism, the bottomless and shameless malevolent and narcissistic mendacity, the stratospheric corruption, the savage glee in inflicting humiliation own those deemed "lesser", the black hoe of cosmic dimensions where an ethical core should reside, are not condemned, called out and disavowed by "classical" conservatives.

Rebuilding cannot begin to take place until they accept that the wilful and wanton destruction of state agencies, and federal institutions, the shredding of international reputation, and moral authority, are just so wrong, on so many levels.
